This is a hardware problem and it is almost certain that firmware updates will never fix it. the Series X controller uses a Bluetooth standard which is not supported by the 8bitdo adapter. Xbox Series X Controller + 8bitdo adapter (plugged into the TV): No support. All buttons except the "Select" button (or whatever the button on the Xbox controller is called) and the Guide button work. ![]() Xbox One Controller: Can be paired directly with the TV via Bluetooth. This may be fixed one day by software updates. At the moment this can NOT be remedied by reassigning the buttons. Steam recognizes the controller, the right stick unfortunately does not work properly, and many buttons are incorrectly mapped. ![]() Xbox Series X Controller: Can be paired directly with the TV via Bluetooth. All apps and firmwares are up to date as of today. I have put together a brief overview of what exactly works with which xbox controller when playing wirelessly via the SteamLink app on Samsung TVs and what does not.
